We are a family-owned business that values being a fair and honest company to its clients and employees. With over 50 years of service, Castle Claims Service continues to adapt to and embrace change over the years. As our business grows, we are always looking for methods to improve our practices, service, and employee expertise by way of advancements in technology and professional development. Our adjusters are required to continue their education and training for an up-to-date understanding of insurance and the perils related to the industry.
We are listed in BEST's Recommended Insurance Adjusters, the Claim Service Guide, and the Claims Pages Directory. We are members of the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters (NAIIA), Pennsylvania Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters (PAIIA), the Pennsylvania Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (PAMIC), Pittsburgh Claims Association (PCA), the Lake Erie Claims Association (LECA), and the Insurance Club of Erie County.
In recent years, technology has greatly affected the claims process, requiring our industry to become more efficient and accurate. Castle Claims Service has sought out new technology in order to service clients in a faster, more reliable way. We have provided our adjusters with smartphones to help them stay connected at all times to claim information, updates, correspondences, and new assignments. Our company utilizes an online file management system, FileTrac®, to help adjusters handle their workload more efficiently and organize claim files. FileTrac® is also a great tool to help our employees communicate with our clients, send documents and reports, keep up-to-date notes, and house our client contact information. Adjusters use high quality digital recorders and cameras to share recorded statements and photographs. Another aspect of technology that is important to Castle Claims Service is security of clients' data. We take great measures to make sure electronic and physical files are kept secure during and after the handling of a claim. We digitally back up our electronic files through FileTrac®, we comply with data retention standards, and finally, a professional service destroys closed files in a secure way.
We pride ourselves on our ability to provide fast, reliable claims service. To uphold this standard, we follow strict guidelines when contacting a policyholder. Upon receipt of a new assignment, our adjusters or claim assistants contact the insured within 24 hours, notifying them that our company will be assisting in the handling of their claim. When contact is made with the insured, we review the following: our office phone number, adjuster's name, file number, and verify contact information. We discuss mitigation of damage regarding their loss and try to answer any questions they might have. Whether the adjuster makes initial contact or a follow-up call to the policyholder, an appointment for inspection will be secured at that time.
Castle Claims Service understands that policyholders and companies are subject to risk of loss at all times. Our stance is to be there when you need us by making a live operator available to take your call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To meet you claims needs, new assignments can be submitted to our offices via email, phone, fax, or through our website's claim upload tool. (Click here to submit your claim). To better serve our clients, we ask that you contact us at 412-343-3223 for emergency after-hours assistance. Listed below are the emails, phone numbers, and fax numbers for each of our three office locations. Please make note that the faxes and emails are not monitored after hours or on weekends, please use the emergency phone number.
Although the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania does not require independent adjusters to be licensed, Castle Claims Service believes that there is value in having adjusters continue to stay current with the changes in the industry. Our adjusters attend Continuing Education classes that not only benefit our company, but also assure our customers they are receiving competent and reliable service. Three of our adjusters have earned their Registered Professional Adjuster (RPA) designation by meeting the necessary qualifications and passing the RPA exam. They continue to keep the designation current by attending the required CE courses annually. In addition, we have one adjuster with the Associate in Claims (AIC) designation and one adjuster currently studying to complete his AIC designation.
Castle Claims Service continues to satisfy customers; insurance companies, and self-insurers wishing to secure quality service for their policyholders, with fair pricing appraisals, estimates, prompt contact, and follow up.
